A Message from Superintendent Dale Henderson
Welcome to the Iberia Parish Public School System. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and to learn a little more about our school system. The Iberia Parish School System is comprised of a diverse population of 14,000 students and approximately 2,000 employees. We have twenty-five schools: seventeen elementary schools, three middle schools and five high schools, representing the communities of New Iberia, Delcambre, Jeanerette and Loreauville. In addition, we have an Alternative Center for Education and the Iberia Parish Career and Technical Education Campus.

In recent years, with tremendous community support, the Iberia Parish School Board has invested millions of dollars in new and renovated school facilities, technology, and modern safety and security measures. Our goal is to ensure that all of our schools are 21st Century learning centers.

Our district places a high priority on student achievement. For the past nine (9) years, our district performance score has increased, evidence that we have an effective curriculum/instructional program in place in our schools. We want our students to be well prepared for any post high school experience they may choose: four year university, community or technical college, or the workforce.

Once again, thank you for your interest in the Iberia Parish Public Schools.
