The state of Louisiana has approved summer EBT, also called SUN Bucks.

Any school-aged child who receives SNAP, TANF, and/or Medicaid will not have to apply for this benefit.  These families will receive $120 for each eligible school-aged child on their existing SNAP card at some time in June.  If you don’t receive SNAP, you will get a card mailed to you using your TANF or Medicaid address.

Households that meet the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals will have to apply for summer EBT.  The application is not yet available, but should be available some time in August.
